Hong Lim Market & Food Centre 芳林巴刹与熟食中心 is one of the food paradise in Singapore, with many hugely popular hawker food stalls operating in it. It is always crowded and queues formed for the popular stalls. Avoid Lunch hour if possible.

Ah Meng 亚明 of stall #02-45 has our favourite  Ondeh-Ondeh / Onde-Onde 番薯蛋. It is a must eat whenever we are there. Actually, it is the best tasting version we ever had till date and it is difficult to find another version that can beat it.

Special Made Ondeh-Ondeh 特制番薯蛋 / Onde-Onde
4pcs S$1.30     6pcs S$2.00       8pcs S$2.50
Made from real sweet potatoes 番薯, different from the more common pandan flavored versions (green color)
Came with generous portion of pearly white, fresh grated coconut.
The skin was so soft that we were afraid that we will break it, just by holding it with our fingers. Of course it did not break.
The filling was a rare mix of Gula Melaka crystal beads and liquid form. This gave us double enjoyment. Upon biting, the Gula Melaka flowed into our mouth and we still get to chew the remainder of the Ondeh-Ondeh with the crystal beads intact.

Special Made Tapioca Kueh 特制木薯糕 / Tapioca Kuih
(S) 小 S$ 1.00
(L) 大 S$ 2.00
There are 2 flavors to choose. White and Brown.
We had the White version.
Sweetness was mild and just right for us. They were also soft and did not stick to the teeth, very enjoyable.

Also Available:
Variety of cookies.
Pineapple Tarts 黄梨挞
Almond Cookies (Veg) 杏仁饼 (素)
Almond Cookies 杏仁饼
