We bought ourselves set lunch here, available on weekdays 12pm to 3pm.
Grilled Chicken Thigh Rm 12.90 Nett with Coffee or Flavoured Tea.
Pork Cutlet BBQ Sauce Rm 15.90 Nett with Coffee or Flavoured Tea.
It is a cosy drinking hole with decent food served. The sauce for the Grilled Chicken is a tad too sweet for our taste.
Pork Cutlet was dry, not juicy to chew on while the sauce tasted ok.
Both orders had their sauce poured over the meat, with the fries directly below. This arrangement actually runs the risk of ruining the fries if customers do not fancy the sauce. In this case, the fries on their own were nice. The salad by the side were nice with the dressing.
Coffee and tea were as they should be, no surprises and a little off, although tea was served in a glass instead of cup and saucer, quite a let down.
We rather like the interior and lighting, but the ambience were disturbed by a table of jubilant customers that conversed to such levels that the music cannot be enjoyed. I am always for such a party to adjourn to a private room, so that the rest of the customers can enjoy the nice ambience as part of the meal.
Overall, it is good value for the set lunch at such a setting, if you are not particular with the taste.
