What we like:
Nyonya Pineapple Sotong 娘惹黄梨花枝 Rm 19
(nice gravy, just right in taste, sweet, lemak and sour from pineapple and tomato slices)
Chap Chai 杂菜 Rm 8
(most impressed as we liked the taste of the gravy, sweet and faintly fragrant of the sweet brown fried beancurd skin while the vegetables had the right varieties and cooked just right)
Spring Roll (Five Spices Roll) 五香卷 Rm 12
(nice, skin is thin and fragrant with the stuffing of the finely minced type)
Nice cosy dining space and decoration, oldies songs being played (until some customers get too loud to drown this)
What we do not like:
Gravy of Nyonya Pineapple Sotong is not hot when served, rather sure that it was warmed up with a quick Microwave Oven.
The uncertainty of seasonal pricing for most of the fish and prawn (uses Sea Prawns) dishes.
Buah Keluak Chicken 吉洛黑豆鸡肉 Rm 17 when served was very different from the photo in the menu. Chicken lacked fragrance while the gravy was too oily, watery and lacked punch. Too little Keluak. Again, the dish was not hot when served, another heat up by the Microwave Oven. Buah Keluak
Men occupying the tables outside of the restaurant, and seemed to be engrossed in the 4D activities that is just next door.
No normal Cendol available, only the "luxurious" Durian Cendol Rm 4.50
Also Available:
Cookies, sauce and Pie Tee shells, etc.
Full menu in the photos.
