What we like:
Lou Shu Fan 老鼠粉 / Mee Tai Bak 米台目 / Short Rice Noodle Dry 干 Rm 4.50
The lou shu fan was tossed with black sauce that is just right in taste and fragrant. It was sprinkled with fried savoury minced pork, the same as those used in the filling for the yong tau foo. This combo was good enough for me to enjoy it without adding other ingredients.
It was served with 4 fish balls and one full piece of fried bean curd with pork filling. I find the fish balls to be of nice texture but was fishy. The bean curd was delightful as it was fresh and the minced pork filling came fried on the outside in contrast with the inner portion (see photo).
The dining area was clean and comfortable during our visit in the morning. Being located on a busy main road, I am not sure if it gets noisy and dusty as the daily traffic picks up in volume.
It is a old kopitiam and afforded a nostalgic ambiance, I like it. It brought lovely childhood memories to mind.
Friendly service.

What we don't like:
Fish Ball Noodle 鱼丸面 Soup 汤 Rm 4.50
I prefer the dry version as the yellow noodle had lots of alkaline taste that spoiled the clear soup.
Chilli sauce was of watery type and sourish. I don't know how to appreciate it though.
