What we like:
Emperor Duck Combination (Triple Delight) 帝皇烧味三品 (M / 中) Rm 28
Roasted Duck 烤鸭 was a surprise, it was served warm. Skin was a little crispy, meat retained the juiciness and was fragrant.
Char Siew 蜜汁叉烧 was just better than average as they were marinated . Unlike the  better version we were served at Sutera branch last year. It would have been better if the Captain had asked for our preference on the cut. We prefer the half fat half lean cut 半肥瘦 / 肥婆叉烧, and also need to be skillfully roasted till the fatty part melts in the mouth while the lean part retains the juiciness. We like Char Siew to be charred at some points and be sticky sweet and savory to the bite.
Roasted Pork 烧肉 was delicious. The skin was crispy and crackling as one chew in the mouth. Meat was a good cut with good mix of fat and lean meat. Taste was just right and meat juicy.
The plate of 3 combo was drizzled in a sweet bitter gravy that tasted and smell like Angelica 当归 was added in it. I must remember to request for this gravy to be provided separately in order to enjoy the meat in their original taste and dip in the gravy at my own discretion.
I find that this combo portion to be more value and more tasty than the version by Canton-i @Johor Bahru City Square. Complete post at: Link

Fried Bean curd with Mushrooms 松茸扒豆腐 (S / 小) Rm 8 was average and nothing special

Chinese Wine Chicken 上品帝皇鸡 (Half / 半只) Rm 28 was nicely served in a pot with a small flame beneath it to keep it warm throughout the meal. The meat was tender.  It was cooked in a slightly gooey gravy of Chinese Wine 花雕酒, Chestnuts 栗子and Red Dates 红枣. It was mildly fragrant and light in taste.
This was a genuine and great value promotion at Rm 1, as it was served complete without any reduction in portion (Please note that the promotion is only available at Bukit Indah Branch) .

Plain rice was average.

Chinese Tea and Filtered Water were refillable.

With an open entrance with air curtain, the restaurant was not cooled enough with the air-con. The dazzle from the bright sun out there can be bothersome when one faced the entrance.

Interior decor was neat, simple and pleasant.

Service was prompt.

I like that the cutlery included a spoon and chopstick rest.

Parking ample and free.

What we don't like:
Waiting staff looked tired except the Manager.

Drinks and individual soup were not served to the respective person and were placed on one side of the table for us to DIY. This was especially felt for the serving of hot soup.
