I get to taste this noodle because of the sharing of information by FB Friend Jeff and Cuicui. We ordered Mee Pok (flat noodle) and Mee Kia (slim noodle). Business is really good, almost full house. The lady boss was "fully equipped" to ensure good hygiene standard by wearing gloves and mask.

After the first mouthful of  noodles, I felt a sense of familiarity, I have tasted this before, somewhere. By the 3rd mouthful and tasting the soup, the answer was revealed. It is very similar to my personal favourite noodle house,  Lau Di Teochew Kway Teow Soup 老弟潮州粿条汤. Minced pork, bean sprouts, prawns, fish and pork balls.

So, I started to list the differences:

  • Chilli sauce was already mixed and tossed before serving, so, there is no delicious looking chilli sauce on top of the noodles.
  • Lard were also in bits, unlike Lau Di's bigger chunks that one can still chew on them.
  • The Mee Kia was not as nice as Lau Di's in texture.
  • This Kopitiam has much better ventilation and not warm to dine in.
  • Parking is easier.  

There is another stall in the Kopitiam that serves porridge (Pork porridge, Century Egg Porridge), Mee Hoon Kueh, Chee Cheong Fun.

能尝到这家的面,全仗FB Friend Jeff & Cuicui的分享。 点了面薄和幼面。 生意很好,几乎满座。老板娘还为了卫生而全身 “武装”, 带手套和口罩。

尝了一口的面,我总觉得很熟悉,在那里吃过。到第三口面和喝了汤(有虾的鲜味),答案就有了。是我的首选面家, Lau Di Teochew Kway Teow Soup 老弟潮州粿条汤。真的很像。肉脞,豆芽,虾,鱼圆和猪肉圆。

于是,我便开始列出不同的地方。

  • 辣椒酱已经捞好了,所以面端来时,看不到诱人的辣椒酱淋在面条上。
  • 猪油渣是碎碎的,没有[老弟]的一块块那样,开可以咀嚼。

  • 幼面的口感就稍微逊于[老弟]的。
  • 咖啡店通风,不热。
  • 停车比较方便
咖啡店里还有另一档卖粥的。(猪肉粥,皮蛋粥)面粉粿,猪肠粉。
